From smartphones with AI tools to devices with better cameras, faster screens and larger batteries, brands had plenty to offer.
The Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition, Ai+ Nova 2 Power 5G, Motorola Signature 27 and the OnePlus N6 Lite 4G were among the launches that caught attention. Companies are also adding more smart features to their devices as they compete for buyers looking for better performance and longer battery life. If you are thinking about buying a new phone, here is a simple look at the biggest tech launches from the week.
Ai+ Nova 2 Power 5G The Ai+ Nova 2 Power 5G is now available in India with a 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations smoother. The display has a resolution of 720x1,600 pixels and can reach up to 450 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode. For photography, it gets a 48 megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX582 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture.
It also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, along with an LED flash. The device starts at ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The higher 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version costs ₹17,999.
OnePlus 16 OnePlus 16 is currently available for pre-order through Oppo’s China website, in three colour options, Tomorrow’s Star, Martian Masterpiece and Dark Forest. Buyers will be able to choose from four RAM and storage combinations. These include 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage and a top model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The device will use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. As of now, OnePlus has not shared all the details about the phone yet, so features such as its cameras, battery and display are still unknown. Motorola Signature 27 Motorola introduced Signature 27 at the Snapdragon Summit with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.
It will also be the first Motorola phone to come with Audio by Bang & Olufsen. AI features will be another key part of the phone, as Google’s Gemini assistant is built into the device. The Signature 27 will have a 50 megapixel Sony LYTIA 910 main camera, which is designed to capture clear photos with better colour and contrast.
OnePlus N6 Lite OnePlus has added another budget friendly option with the launch of the OnePlus N6 Lite. The phone has a large 6.75 inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. It packs a 7000 mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging.
The phone is priced at ₹16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model and comes in Midnight Hype and Neo Green colours. Users can also get up to 8GB of extra virtual RAM. For photos, it gets a 13 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Oppo A7 Pro Max Oppo has started selling the A7 Pro Max, with its large 10,000mAh battery and available in two colours, Surfing Blue and Lunar Black. The phone comes with a 6.78 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother viewing. The screen can reach up to 1800 nits of brightness and has a resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels.
The A7 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For photography, it has a 50 megapixel main rear camera with optical image stabilisation and a 2 megapixel monochrome camera. On the front, there is a 50 megapixel selfie camera with autofocus.
RealMe 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition Realme has launched the 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition with brown back inspired by Wizard’s Chess. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor and comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 6.78 inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 200 megapixel main camera and 7000 mAh battery.
Buyers will also get a special gift box designed to look like Harry Potter’s Hogwarts trunk but only 5000 is available worldwide. The device costs ₹62,999 and will go on sale from September 22.
